Addons
Why not post addons like custom robots/humans, Rockets and new weapons on this topic, that would be cool! Then we could have some fun while DIRT Master create the new version! poll will run for two weeks

Well... Uh, I said yes on the polls.
My un-blocky-ified double sized robot head is on page 3 of 'Supporting player-made mods?'.

The one entitled Custom Weapons, yea?
It may have slid to low on the first page, note however that this one also deals with other modifications, right?

Trying to figure out a way of replacing the soldier's skin.
Tried messing with the rtea04\Base.rte\Actors\Soldier bitmaps but the legs will keep their original skin. I must be doing something wrong?

Did it work for you in the same rtea04 build?
Im going to take a look in the pathing - I can completely delete every foreground and background leg bitmaps and the game will still run (with the original leg skin).
edit: Right. Actors.txt seems to point the game into the Actors.dat file for some of the bitmaps.
How exactly did yours work?

Reasonable. But if you wanted to customize the animated body parts such as the leg, youd need to change the Actors.dat file, am I right?

No, in the leg and arm files what you do is there are three or four different pics, each one for a different level of the bending of an arm/leg, edit them seperately.
