Frederic: "Hm.

Go down to the guild and get a pint."

Leon: "I'll come too."

The three of you went to have a pint. Then one more. Frederic talks a bit about Karina and her father. He loves her dearly, but he's also very protective of her. And she has indeed had more than one 'day trip' as he calls it, though never too far away. Often she comes back on her own, and it's only discovered later.
Then Frederic leaves. And another pint. And then Leon leaves. And another pint. And maybe just one more.
By this point, it's been dark for a while. The streets are lit with lamps every so often, but it's a cloudy night and fairly dim out between the lamps.
Feeling still tipsy and still not quite sure what to do, you walk, letting your feet take you where they do.
Left. Right. Straight. Right. Straight. Left. Straight.
You wander for maybe 15 minutes. Not really sure where, but you feel safe on the streets wherever you go. There's enough people, enough light, and enough guards around.
Eventually you find yourself at the outer edge of the city, staring out at the open plain. It's dark, but you can make out a gentle silvery glow from the world tree in the distance. Pretty.
"Gram!"

Huh. That was stupid. That WAS stupid. At least you were planning on staying in the Guild til you sober up.
More importantly, you heard a voice. Looking around, you don't see anything. Wait. No, wait. To your left, crouching next to some empty barrels, is a blonde girl in a dark shirt and pants, with a large messenger bag over her shoulder. She grins and waves once you see her.
Karina: "Hi Gram!"

She looks both ways then jumps out from her spot.
Karina: "Leon's back at the manor, not sure where Frederic is. He probably would've caught me if he was at the manor too.
Anyway don't be down, you're probably not that dumb! I'm the one who led you here, if that's what you're worried about."

Karina: "Well, I'm not gonna let my dad force me to sit around at home forever, I liked being out in the world too much. So, we're gonna strike it out on our own!
And probably find some new people on the way to round out the group again.
I haven't had time to work it out much past that yet. Going to Gratchfeland might be a good start, there'll be more adventurer types there."

She's silent for a bit.
Karina: "No. I, I don't think so.
I want to, but, Frederic's job is to keep me safe, so he'd end up bringing me home.
And Leon is... I don't think he'd come. Maybe he'd want to. But he... he wouldn't go against my father like this."

Karina: "Um. Well, a weapon is, probably out of the question, I am a mage and all... I, guess I could learn some offensive magic."
Frederic: "What the hell are you trying to teach her here, Gram?"

Karina spins around in shock, while you calmly turn to face him. Frederic stands leaning against a doorway in the street you just walked down.
Karina: "What! Where did YOU come from?!"
Frederic: "Followed Gram. You kept a close eye around yourself, but didn't bother watching Gram, didn't you? Just fed him directions."
Karina: "Gk..."
