Post Test Build
Planetoid Pioneers has come out with it's first playable version.

Have you had a chance to play it? What are some key things that you've noted about it?

Myself, I really enjoy the particle system in which disintegrating objects/monsters can be used for materials to build things.

It's certainly very pretty.
There's not a whole lot to do, so far, but the engine seems very solid. Lua coding not so much, but I imagine that it was some quick and dirty stuff to get it usable for alpha testers.

There's a good reason "WORK IN PROGRESS" is plastered on the gameplay.

the atomizer seems to totally stop working after a while, maybe after making something. its really finnicky and i have no idea why it doesnt work some times.
also the jetpack needs a lot more upward thrust. whats the point of building a bridge if you can move horizontally so fast?
also, it might just be because of its other issues but are a lot of the things in the atomizer even buildable? they seem to require a lot more materials than you can get. or am i wrong?

Seems like the atomizer doesn't work when you're holding another tool (i.e. a gun). That may be the cause of the screwups you were getting.
It also doesn't work when important parts of your head are missing, but I think that's pretty fair.

As for the jetpack, burstjetting is back in full force it seems so use that until its thrust is fixed.
It seems odd though, that once you get high enough in the atmosphere you can presumably achieve escape velocity with just a jetpack. I guess that'll be fixed by limited fuel though, once that's a thing.

Stuff's really light too, or seems to be, I can flip pretty much anything on accident. That will become extremely maddening once I need to be doing something with it beyond just dicking around.

join the pioneer program!
There you can download the test build and do other stuff like chat with other people who are playing the test build.
(the pioneer program is mentioned(with an url to sign up for it) at the bottom of the "Cortex Command Build 31 - NO MORE MOID LIMITS" dev log)
