Dunno bout those other two, but I'm thinking that cooking would let you make awesome foods that rewarded you with buffs, sorta like Monster Hunter. Singing will NOT be a skill. But there will almost certainly be song and/or dance. Because why not. Basket-Weaving? Is that even used commonly in games? Singing and Basket Weavingare actually pretty common, atleast in table top. Singing is mostly for bards though, and if I remember correctly, they would sing battle songs to give fellow party members combat buffs. Y'know, motivational music and all that. Basket weaving sounds pretty useless, but you can make storage containers which themselves are pretty useful.

 Re: FG Lounge
The skills from basket weaving can be used to make walls, houses, doors, furniture, boats, and so on and so forth

Nah. Only baskets and basket derivatives. Unless you wove yourself a basket shaped wicker house I suppose.

 Re: FG Lounge
You just have to weave a support frame, and the rest comes from filling it in. For a boat, you need to tar [lard?] it, and or use leather too.

 Re: FG Lounge
Actually, yeah, you could build a house like that. Wattle and daub construction is pretty old and they usually had walls made out of weaved branches, and you get some pretty neat results from weaved walls. Of course they had to coat the walls with whatever they had at hand.

 Re: FG Lounge
Now I totally have a reason to make a single Crafting skill which applies to everything.
Because Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and the like are definitely all the same (as if!).

 Re: FG Lounge
It turns out you progress from Stone Tools to Wicker Weaving, to Ceramics/Ceramics, Woodworking, and then Metalworking.

 Re: FG Lounge
Alright guys. By the end of this week, to get myself back into a writing mood, I will be starting a new Roll to Dodge. A space 4x. If you know my style of writing and my taste in games, it'll be a tough adventure but I hope that it'll be an interesting one.

 Re: FG Lounge
Define active. :P
Illusia (which IS still active) has been around for a long time, but only because I don't roll often enough to have it finished by now. I don't win any rewards for that one, no way.
Cave's Infidium is slightly younger in terms of lifespan, but has nearly double the number of rolls written and is still going strong. Deserves way more credit than me, imo.

 Re: FG Lounge
Infidium actually started 6 December 2010 on a different forum under a different name, and was moved to DRL to get more players in. If you look at the first roll in the Infidium thread, it's roll 66. The other 65 rolls were on the older thread.
