ive had this for a while thought its something that would be nice to have a DRFF "outfit" (their version of a clan) on.

What server are we on? i cant do euro servers (ghastly 400ms ping) but i can mange us (210-250).
Im mostly on Rhea (Australia), Wonderful 74ms ping.

Though, Servers going offline in the next 12 hours in preparation for V1.0. that comes out on the 20th.
Four days without planetside! not to mention the whole cert / rank / character reset.

I play Terran Republic mostly, used to play NC but got bored of every gun being about as accurate as throwing paper planes.

Shame about this thread being so late, i have tons of keys sat around.

What server? Eu or US? i think most of DRFF is US but i could be wrong (im from NZ myself, but ill still weather the 200 pong for US servers)

I think Jaeger server would be the best, because it's got high population, the best name, and it's east coast.

So after some 12 hours of downloading Planetside 2 and then installing it I finally managed to get into the game
And I've been plagued by problems

Firstly: Couldn't type in my character name, some buttons just caused it to go to desktop or do other weird things, but I got around that using capslock
Then: I had an issue many other players seemed to have, the intro video played for my faction and then I was thrust into battle with no warning, I died almost instantly and then the menu screwed up so I had to close it manually
I restarted my whole computer, ran the DirectX app in the install folder which may have fixed some problems and I was able to get in the game
But then the world started disappearing and my view model had some issues

Although I'm sure since this is the release week there'll be some patches, not to mention I need to download the compatibility drivers

I've been playing PS2 pretty extensively the last few days. Playing NC on the Lithcorp euro server and Vanu on Helios. I'd be up for doing some shenanigans, even if I have to make a new character.

There are ten more tanks below me, not even counting the NCO tanks trying to fend them off.(we did.)

I just got my weapons locked for some 20 minutes today. I can see why the teamkiller punishing system is in place. But when you're sitting on a balcony firing down a tunnel full of vanu scumbags and people keep going in front of your sustained LMG fire, can I really be at fault?

edit: Also the fact that I am effectively useless. Why not just lock weapons and let me be free to go around doing support work by repairing, healing and resupplying?

Do you Guys still play it? Because i kinda want to see you guys atleast ingame once. :L
Also, im bad at scoring. All i do is Healing and Repairing, because when im shooting, im either not hitting anything or theres a Vehicle inbound.

I play it every once in a while.

The whole 8 gig update thing kinda lets me down tho if you don't play if too often.

I play every now and then.
But even with my pretty decent rig the performance in fights of over 15/20 dudes kinda ruins the fun a bit, aiming at moving targets when you have below 30fps is not exactly easy.
