Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
I'm going to pirate it, unless the Humble Indie Bundle graces me with the ability to buy the turd in a bundle-o-five for only one dollar. As a customer of Terraria, I feel betrayed. They completely dropped development of Terraria just so they could work on this sooner.

Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
Redigit has nothing to do with Starbound. The only cross-over is Tiy, who was an artist, now the lead dev at Chucklefish. I won't even go into the falling-out in the Redigit team or how Red is a humongous piece of ♥♥♥♥. The reason updates stopped is because Red left to take care of his new born son, which seems reasonable. But if you've been even paying attention to Terraria lately you'll see that development isn't over anymore. Look at that, new content, made by the original dev. Also I'm not entirely on-par with you calling the game a "turd" or feeling cheated by it's development. Why would you be angry with it? It's pretty much well-agreed upon by everyone that Starbound is already on a massively higher level than Terraria ever was. Even if it was true that they stopped working on Terraria for Starbound, (which they didn't) I'd think you (or pretty much anyone) would be happy that they're basically making the sequel right afterwards.

Oh I guess I'll buy Starbound then. I called it a turd because I was mad at the devs; now I know it went down differently.

Been following since it was announced. Pre-ordered the 4-pack an hour or so after they started accepting payments.

Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
I was busy playing an extremely long-winded game of Munchkin and then sleeping, otherwise I would have jumped on that ♥♥♥♥ as soon as they started selling it also. Bought a 4pack, really good use of $45.

Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
Debating on getting the 4-Pack of the or getting a NPC name.
One thing I Kinda don't understand is the steep prices for the other special things.. Mostly considering it's a Fan designing a sprite, in which the dev just have to code in (And In all honesty something that simple, isn't hard )
Regardless. I think i might wait out to see what happens.

Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
The price is high not because of the difficulty but because it is impinging on the development teams' vision. Similar to Dell paying millions of dollars to have a movie actor use Dell computers throughout a movie. Swapping out a computer on the set takes about ten minutes of work, but the privilege to decide what's in the movie is costly.

Higher tiers are mostly to donate more money, with a bit of an incentive.

Re: STARBOUND PREORDER IS NOW AVAILABLE
I want to buy starbound but I spent all my money on magic cards. I've been considering selling my old nintendo gameboy to buy this game.
