So, yeah, does anyone still play our dear Fallout 3, or the other Games of Fallout? I only played Fallout 3 myself. Its actually very fun, and i like some references too. (The TES Oblivion one, for instance). I personally think its a mix of The Elder Scrolls Oblivion/Skyrim with a Shooter after a Nuclear War (what actually happened). PS: Sorry if i necro this.

Fallout 1 and 2 were great, and had a fun time playing them. New Vegas was a huge improvement to the modern Fallout franchise. I highly recommend it over FO3.
I recommend other games, but this is a Fallout thread.
FONV will be the easiest to get into if you want to try the other games.

Awww, leave Fallout 3 alone, it wasn't that bad, the only gripe I had with it at the time was it didn't have iron sights. Personally I think it still holds itself admirably for a 5 year old game, and while New Vegas was better, 3 was in no way a bad game.

Bethesda touched things they shouldn't have touched in FO3.

Harold was supposed to have been done justice in Van Buren.

I only got FO3 recently, and it was pretty fun.

How do you think they detonate nukes? The kinetic energy and heat generated cause the chain reaction.

It may not have been the perfect game, but I still had fun playing it.

I personally really don't care about basically all those faults, it was a great game, it had good atmosphere, I played through it 3 times when I had it on Xbox and then even more when I got it for PC and could put mods on it. I believe that F3 was better than FNV, mainly for the story, setting, characters and the weapon crafting. Basically anything could be fixed with mods anyway.

I like FO3 more than New Vegas, personally. I've played Fallout 1 & 2, but still prefer it. The atmosphere is so much better.

FO3 : More story based,less combat system.
FNV : More combat based,less story.

Hopefully Fallout 4 will combine and upgrade these traits, that's all i can hope for.

But I agree, you have to get rid of several things (that damn green haze) to properly enjoy it. I always play with a giant cocktail of mods. Even with mods I just didn't like FONV as much, but that may be because I absolutely hate deserts.

The lack of voice actors was the only thing that bothered me badly.

I was hoping Bethesda would remedy this with at least Skyrim, but no avail.

I play it on XBox because my computer's video card is actually an Uno card.

What's this Fallout 3 you are talking about, I know about some FPS spinoff, "Fallout 3d".

I prefer the 2d Fallout kktnx.
