@ryanbob1 Think of Browncoat heavies as Brute Chieftains without shields. They can take a crap ton of damage of almost any kind, and it takes at least 2 sniper shots to kill, one for the helmet and one for the head. There needs to be a balance to vanilla, and sniper rifles were nerfed for that reason. However, I did buff it a bit this time, during testing I will see how it plays, but it should be able to instakill most things with a shot to the head with some changes I made.

Note how Technion is almost on par with my mod. There needs to be competition, otherwise there is no fun to it.

@Binkberkowitz, i'll take that into account, I will not under any circumstances allow wallbanging for weapons through anything more than stone (there is a slight problem with HMG bullets and continuous fire will dig through concrete :P) so the sniper rifle will never be capable of it, however I will probably make things be able to pierce through dirt to some degree.

Both .rar and .zip files are compressed, I would recommend downloading WinRar, which is a free program (even though they say it isn't) that extracts .zip and .rar files. Its convenient both for you and me. Adding another dowload link is somewhat unnecessary in my opinion. :?

I hope you make master chief the most OP actor of all the mods in these forums. I'm anxious to see how you factor in luck and all the goodies. Are you going to make his limbs unbreakable or something?

What have you learned from my posts dude :P no OP people. How many times have you died in the campaign while playing Halo 3 or 4 (or CE and 2 if it applies to you)? Only with great skill and dexterity is master chief a legend!

He will be extremely badass with awesome jointstrength (meaning untearable limbs), awesome walkpath strength, incredibly high impulsedamage resistance (misc. flying objects and grenades), 100% regenerating health, better shields, and solid hands that decrease weapon recoil, but he will NOT be OP, he will boarder the line of it, most likely right under it.

I thought you were going to take most of his skills from the books that would make him OP in cortex command, i am kinda glad that he's able to be killed though. I just want him to be a total badass that could take on a few space marines at once.

Give him the right weapons and you probably can. Though give 3 space Marines Flamethrowers and you might have a slight problem :P


I will make sure to recreate his badassness as well as I can!

EDIT: prevent a double post, heres what i've been doing:

Resprited some stuff, lots of rebalancing after playing Halo 4 and reading feedback, updated weapons to be like their Halo 4 versions, included the SAW(100%), working on the Railgun (40%) and Sticky Detonator (10%), made the Flamethrower actually good and look nice, and im still working on the Pelican (5%). Changed Jetpack stuff, now more responsive at the cost of fuel tank size, rebalanced actors. Maybe a Drop Pod resprite is due soon... :P

Seems to be a problem involving the new human ai lua file in base .rte. Some error about "Owner" in the console.

I can't help with that, my mod doesn't edit anything from base.rte which comes from the installation.
I would recommend reinstalling cortex command, if there is still a problem, a screen cap would be helpful

It's probably that you haven't moved to the new version of ai set up. I don't even have the new version of CC downloaded so I can't help you much there but there should be a bit of info about it on the forums, or you can take a look at what other mods that work with 1.05 do.
Or maybe I'm completely wrong about this error, I can't say for sure right now.

I dunno, its working fine on my computer..., isn't the only thing that my mod attempts to do is read the filepath to HumanAI.lua? What kind of changes to the lua file could cause compatability problems?

Well, I recently tried moving ALL my mods from 1.0 to the Steam copy of 1.05. I selected ALL and then pasted, replacing everything. Then, I verified my game cache and it replaced the
vanilla files that were 1.0 with the Steam 1.05 files. I did this 2 times already (verifying the game cache) the frist time it detected files and fixed them. The second time, nothing.

EDIT: could you maybe post a download of the humanAI.lua file so I can download it just in case mine got broken or something?
EDIT2: seems to be happening with all of Unitec's actors when I put them in any AI mode too. The exact same error

Did you uninstall the 1.0 version first (leaving all the mods when prompted) and then select all?

I just selected everything straight away. Steam validated and replaced most of the 1.0 files, or all. Can't be sure.

EDIT: Can you also upload humanbehaviors.lua?
EDIT2: both problems are coming from humanbehaviors.lua
EDIT3: has nothing to do with this but, i can fly quite well with an empty backpack for some reason, just keep tapping
