You should be fine if you're using Paint from any version of Windows prior to 7 or 8, but the newer versions don't save into the Cortex Command palette properly, which is why it breaks. Newer versions of the GIMP have a similar problem, though they make the files flat-out unreadable for CC. Oh dear. So - what option do people have, then?

I'd highly suggest using the version of Paint from XP. I can upload it if you'd like, all you need is the executable found C: Windows

There is a bug where the Ronin skirmish won't work. At first I thought I had too many actors being used but its not the case. I'm not exactly sure whats going on.

Re: UniTec (1.0.0 - CC1.0)
Sure. Though there must be a way to allow transparency with regedit... right? D:

...no. Stop talking. That is not how computers work. The way .bmp saving works in Win7/8 Paint breaks how it's encoded or something. I don't know about the specifics. You can get a similar effect by not saving properly or setting the image properties correctly, even in versions of GIMP that do save the palette correctly.

Re: UniTec (1.0.0 - CC1.0)
Found another bug (not too sure if this is a bug or not):
When I'm adding the UniTec G-HE Belt in the presets, this pops up:
--------------------------- RTE Aborted! (x_x) --------------------------- Reading of a preset instance "UniTec G-HE Belt" of class HDFirearm failed in file UniTec.rte/Presets/Presets.ini, shortly before line #54
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'
You can copy this message with Ctrl+C --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
This is happening with all the grenades that I've been trying to use.

Are you using a Mac? Both Ronin skirmish and G-HE belt work for me.

Re: UniTec (1.0.0 - CC1.0)
I'm using Windows 7 on an ASUS G75VW
UPDATE: Derp, it was on HDFirearms, not TDExplosives.
Now I'm getting this:
--------------------------- RTE Aborted! (x_x) --------------------------- Reading of a preset instance "HK MSG 90" of class HDFirearm failed in file UniTec.rte/Presets/Presets.ini, shortly before line #108
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'
You can copy this message with Ctrl+C --------------------------- OK ---------------------------

Haha, looks like there has been an argument with regards to my little inquiry xD Thanks guys for your interest. I tried to do stuff with MS Paint and all, but it looked like I am short of any other options then resorting to Raging Bull with Scope Do notify me though, if someone out there can find a solution for the transparency issue.

I checked the file for the ronin defense,it seems to still use the old named Ronin actors from previous versions(dafred, mia, dimitri, etc),it should be easily fixable through changing the actor names to just "Ronin Soldier" and "Ronin Heavy",should technically work.

Re: UniTec (1.0.0 - CC1.0)
could you make them a little less overpowered?, it takes an army to kill one soldier.

The laser SMG is insanely overpowered, the range power need to be lowered, it's and SMG not a rapid fire laser sniper, the actors can soak a insane amount of damage to the leg area, and headshots don't help much either. the best way I've found to kill the actors is by dropping a crate on their head.
