Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Firaxis Remake)
I watched somebody else play it a little bit. They need to fix the camera randomly going into the fog because of alien activity or because you blast an alien off of the map, it's really disorienting and you end up not really knowing what to do to get back to your team's location.
Anyway, seems cool. Can't wait to try it myself.

You can just press tab, and it 'switches' to the next soldier, bringing the camera to them. But the camera does get screwed up a lot. Whenever the aliens get the "Oh look we're here" animation, they tend to ignore any and all doors, walls and forcefields.

Hey guys. Name one of your soldiers Otto Zander, the guy from the X-Com Lets Play. The devs took notice. Gotta love Firaxis

I second the motion of it being worth it. And it's even harder than the original X-COM.

God damn, I lost a Captain while he was giving some redshirts with tasers some supressing fire. The whole point of bringing redshirts along was so that THEY would die. To be fair, though, my captain was wearing red armor. And crouching behind a log. Wei 'King Kong' Shen, you will be missed.

Today I have learned that I am not very good at XCom, but I refuse to turn it down from Classic Ironman

Most kills on a trooper? Small spoler for those that haven't seen end game items.

Yeah but snipers are better.
The Aliens getting a free turn thing is bull♥♥♥♥ though, and I hope they either patch it out or someone mods it out.

Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Firaxis Remake)
I've got five snipers in my barracks, and I find them bloody useless.
I typically fight up close and personal, where the assault class really come into their own. Heavies suppress the enemy, assault move in for the kill.

My sniper has some perk where if he kills an enemy out in the open or while they're flanked, he gets another shot. He's got squad sight, so I put him in overwatch, and when the enemy moves, he shoots one, and he can get another shot to kill a second enemy.
