 Random Map V6
Hi,

So this is a random map generator, and it generates random maps.
To use it open the lua console while in the main menu and type this:
Code:
RandomMap(x,y)

Replace x and y by the dimentions of the desired map in pixels(obviously bigger maps take more time to generate).
Then wait until the dos window closes and start an activity on the scene called Random Map.

Here is an example of a 5000 by 1600px random map:
Note: this picture does't have textures so the materials look bad, still they will look normal in-game, same thing for the pink sky.

Feedback is always appreciated.
Also you may use these as a starting point to create your own hand made maps.

Looks pretty nifty, although probably not a whole lot of use to average users? The ability to load, save and edit the scenes could be pretty handy for makers though... especially stuff like UnmappedLands. Use this to make a good starting terrain, maybe finetune it in a graphics editor if need be, and away you go!

The scene is saved in RandomMap.rte/carte.bmp, and it is replaced when you generate anothermap, still you can make a copy of the maps you like to modify them.

Holy... My random skirmishes just got 10 times better now that I don't have to play the same map 50 times in a row.

To make a map that is REALLY REALLY REALLY smooth, I should leave the x and y the same?

It's the dimensions of the map in total pixels, where x is horizontal area and y is vertical.
Creating a 500x500 map or something similar would only make it a square.

If by "smooth" you mean "relatively flat"... keep generating until you get one you like, or make one the hard way. Simple as that.

very very nice mod i love it. its funny to have a very small map like (750,750) and put the enemy difficulty on insane and let the crazy drop ship looping begin just a little glitch to bring to attention though when a map loops if you put one soldier on one side of the loop and another soldier on the second side of the loop when you put you're aim on side one you can only see that soldiers health but if you put the aim on side 2 you can only see the seconds guys heath and not the guy on the other side of the loop and sometimes on smaller maps where you can see you're self multiple times (cause of loop) it likes to jump from version of you to another so if you see you're self 3 times sometimes it will jump to the first you or the you on the right or the you on the left making it a almost impossible task to aim in a situation like that
