I think destructible terrain is a nice feature to a game it changes gameplay by alot and whatever I say shouldn't be stupid.

I dunno, I much preferred the destructibility of, say, Red Faction: Guerrilla to simple terrain destruction - it changed gameplay quite a bit, was fun to mess with, and was very cool to watch. And before that, there was the original Red Faction, which had less-entertaining terrain destruction. I still had fun digging around in that, though.

ok dame I'm gonna be real up front here

I've yet to see you make a post that didn't make me think you're functionally retarded

now I understand you're a marine fan and therefore an idiot

but this is taking it a little far

seriously. slow the ♥♥♥♥ down, type better, don't be such a goddamn idiot. lay out coherent sentences and proofread them a little tiny bit before you hit submit. or you'll just keep looking like a jackass.

Good.

I think we can all agree that innovation in gaming is like science. There's a lot of little innovations that get tried that add up to most of the progress in gaming (such as going from craptastic controls in the early days to much better, if sometime meh, controls today), and a few huge gambles that turn out well, such as the invention of the analog joystick.

It comes as a suprise to many people but they teach you that stuff in "English Class" for a reason.
It's so that you don't sound like a complete idiot when writing anything outside of English class.

They're not just doing it for fun, teaching a class full of you must be a nightmare.

Hi there! You're hereby AWARDED a 3 day period to cool off. After which I will personally ban anyone who insults Dame777 for even minor transgression. If he however keeps acting like this. Feel free to report his posts instead of this backseat moderating. At least tell him nicely in a PM instead of this public humiliation.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Cave Story yet. It's the perfect example of an indie game done right. It was coded by one person only over a period of five years and it's better than many AAA titles out there.

Link for you guys.

Cave Story doesn't radically innovate anything except maybe weapon energy. It took the castlevania/metroid formula and then polished it and added a compelling story. All of the environments aren't very original but they're really well made.

Hahaha, I like how the first 'ominous trend' is looking down sights on a gun. Like, seriously? That isn't even a legitimate complaint - what, are we supposed to exclusively shoot from the hip or something? And the guy's being overly-pessimistic. Sure, in Uncharted: Golden Abyss, you can use the touch pad to make traversing the area easier. But it wasn't hard in the first place, you just moved the sticks in the direction you wanted to go and pressed 'X'.

Sighting down is omnious?
Not like it's how guns in real life work in the first place, not at all.
