Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you knew any good Lets Play series, that have a decent amount of videos in, or are still been actively updated? I cant seem to find any that are more than a few videos long?

Not on Youtube, as far as I know.

there isn't really much of a campaign for this game so its not surprising that there aren't that many let's plays, or that the few let's plays out there are so short. maybe when there is an actual campaign you can look forward to someone actually let's playing the game.

I tried to make an LP today but fraps kept turning itself off. Whats a good recording program to use?

I know it's a long way around, but there's a screen recorder for Firefox. If you're willing to use that...

Anyway, the thing I really look for in a recorder is one that won't constantly show a swirling busy cursor the entire time. Haven't found one, yet.

In this video, from around 20 and forward he tries to play some Cortex Command. But as he is playing it without knowing anything (not even the controls), he of course fails miserably. I not sure if I can classify it is a good LP as such. But it shows the games learning curve. Which is something we, who have mastered the controls, can laugh at.

Take it from me, LPs are hard to set up. I've done of a lot of setting up in my time. (Not much actual doing, however.)


I recommend ZDSoft Screen Recorder. It costs money, but there are ways to get it for cheap. It's fast, simple, and allows for a decent amount of customization.

Camtasia isn't all that simple, but it's badass. It's also quite expensive. Again, you could probably find cheap prices for it. Camtasia has released a few free deals before.

Live Stream is a good site for live streaming your videos. If you download their application Procaster you can record and stream at the same time. The videos are also added to an on-demand library on the livestream site for anyone to view.

CamStudio is simple, more or less effective, and free. It's still in development though, so it can be buggy and unreliable.


Anyway, as for the actual LP, there isn't much actual content to show.
There's a campaign, but there aren't many missions.

You could do an LP of mission mods, I suppose, though.
