 Jetpack fix? (B24)
Hi all. The jetpack in B24 is horribly underpowered. I can hardly move while carrying one of the larger weapons. Is there any way to fix this? A console command or mod or something? Its pretty damn frustrating as it is.
Anyway, thanks in advance!

That's the point. You can't use it when you have a lot of heavy weapons. It's not underpowered, it's more overpowered than underpowered. It's not broken, so it does not need a fix.

Actually, they were nerfed a lot more than was needed, so they are probably getting a buff at some point.

To actually answer the question: There is no really easy way, you have to go through and find all the jetpack definitions and increase the mass or amount of particles emitted by it. I believe it is defined in base.rte/effects/pyro/pyro.ini, but I could be mistaken.

I never said I was carrying a lot of heavy weapons. Im carrying one heavy weapon, nothing else, and the jetpack hardly gets me anywhere. Didn't they get rid of that in B24, though, Nonsequitarian?

 Re: Jetpack fix? (B24)
The jetpacks will be stronger in the next version of Cortex Command. In the meantime, you can place this file in your Cortex Command folder under Base.rte/Effects/Pyro and let it replace the current Pyro.ini: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2149322/Pyro.iniUnless there's a change before B25, that's what jetpacks will be like in the next version.
