Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Okay, Players.I have some good news, and some bad news. Bad news first. You're all going to have to post your moves again. But... the reason for posting again is the good news. I have fixed the Glyph system so that it is now fair. The New Glyph SystemGlyphs are old relic stones that respond the the presence of the Six. When one of the Players touches a Glyph, it bestows an ability (according to the Player's thoughts, of course). However, Glyphs have enough energy to give powers to all of the Six. Once everyone has gained a power, the Glyph will turn to dust, its power exhausted. Objects can still be given powers, simply by touching the item to the Glyph. This way, everyone gets powers! But you do have to post your moves again in consideration of this new rule. Don't bother modifying your posts two pages back, just put up new ones. And Non, you can still commit suicide if you want. That means CaveCricket will take your place. You may want to choose an epic way to kill yourself. Other than that, I am fine with your reasons. I'm sorry for the huge delay this time, due to the Puppy and Glyph Incidents, but hopefully this will solve all our problems. -Nighthawk

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Non should totally become a werewolf antagonist like caekdaemon did in RtD 2.

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
You want me to turn Non into a werewolf so you guys can kill him? Ingenious! Of course, you guys know that in RtD - Illusia, I don't play by the rules of folklore and stuff. In Illusia, a werewolf isn't immune to everything but silver, so it doesn't have to spread the disease. In a short RtD test run game I played with friends, I made a boss called a Hydragora (Hydra for short) that had two heads which did not grow back, but its skin was metal. Only its insides were vulnerable. But, sure. I come up with a sweet way to make you die.

This should be the only glyph to give us all powers, because otherwise, after four glyphs we'll all be set for life. If I don't use the glyph this turn, or even in a few turns for that matter, will I lose the chance to use it? I'm still not quite sure what I'll do.

What if you got a glyph, kept it until the next glyph, then combined their effects?

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Hmmm...I'm leaning towards giving myself wolf abilities, but it just seems like it'd be pretty weak. I mean, I'll have enhanced senses, strength and agility, and I guess I might grow claws, but something more mystical like your...I dunno, kinetically-enhanced movement thing, that's what I'll call it...yeah, that seems like it'd be more useful.

Oh, trust me, you won't be NEARLY set for life after a few Glyphs. All Glyphs will give the entire Party powers, because I'll be adding so much more Glyph content that you guys don't even know about. Don't worry. Your DM has it all taken care of.

Woot! Double post! caekdaemon wrote: Ociamarru wrote: This should be the only glyph to give us all powers, because otherwise, after four glyphs we'll all be set for life. What if you got a glyph, kept it until the next glyph, then combined their effects? The answer to this question is NO. You cannot combine the effects of two different powers. Or else people would just keep combining until they were godly. That is why you can only have two powers, max. Because if you're godly, how do I come up with a way to kill you off?

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Well I don't want godly powers, but right now I don't know what exactly I'm going to pick as my power. Do I really have to use the glyph right now and regret it later? Or can I save it for a time when I've finally made a decision?

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
You can't save a Glyph yourself, unfortunately, 'cause as soon as you touch it, you get your power.
You'll have to ask an NPC to carry it for you. The Glyph won't react to them.
