Re: Trashlands
I believe the wreckage is all sourced from Base.rte and Dummy.rte but with adjustments such as rotation. That gib is from the Dropship MK1, so it isn't wholly exclusive to trashlands.

Holy ♥♥♥♥ we get warned for posts like that now? O_o
I definitely agree with Naxx though, some new clouds would definitely make this sexier. Findude, I know you're a good enough spriter to do something better than take Vanilla clouds and stretch them horizontally.

But yeah, lizard said he'd whip up a background or something, I hope it has less cancerous clouds.

Re: Trashlands
So, this map has trouble loading now in b24 because the surface of the terrain is so super porous.. it's not a smooth surface. B24 does a lot of extra work trying to figure out where it can and can't place debris.. it looks out for little caves and such under the first surface of the terrain, so it doesn't place rocks hanging in the middle of the cave space. This map has a million little caves in teh surface, which is why it takes for ever to place all the debris peieces. Smoothing out the top layer exposed to teh air should resolve this

Re: Trashlands
Fantastic map! A truly unique look and feel to it. My only gripe is the small size, since it tends to get rather crowded on many of the new game-modes. Data wrote: B24 does a lot of extra work trying to figure out where it can and can't place debris.. it looks out for little caves and such under the first surface of the terrain, so it doesn't place rocks hanging in the middle of the cave space. This it really good news.

Haha, I combined this with your Zombots, and the results were fantastic! Nicely done on the map and the 'bots!

Re: Trashlands
What I like the most of the map is that it always seems like the gibs were eternal. I mean, it's pretty hard to get to the soil (I mean, for casual gameplay rather than gold digging), and everytime that I gib a dropship or a rocket it becomes part of the landscape.

Re: Trashlands
AFAIK, there isn't actually any trashjunk monster or anything, it's just for backstory.
