The Convoy has been lost from view, but everyone know that it is just down the road somewhere.

(This event is currently parallel to the storyline but unrelated to the main rolls... things might be changing soon, but I don't want to say too much. Sorry for the length but I haven't done anything for a while, so yeah...)

Damien was moving as fast as he could through the thick undergrowth, about 50 meters from the rough path where the convoy was moving. Although the jeeps and Humvees were moving at a sedate pace of 15 miles an hour, that was still pretty close to his top speed while wearing full combat gear- and he couldn't maintain his top speed too long, especially not in a jungle. Before much time had passed, he noticed (or rather, heard) the convoy slowly splitting into two, with most of the convoy heading up the path while a small pack of personnel on-foot were almost right next to him. He hesitated- should he make himself known? Could he ever explain or justify his actions in that moment of rage- or would a vengeful teammate put a bullet in his head before he could say a word? He remembered Fiona aiming her railgun at him through the thick brush, ready to ever so casually sever him in half, and he shivered. Hell no... they won't take me back until they really need me. He took off at a jogging lope, staying crouched so that the few beams of sunlight penetrating the canopy didn't reflect off any of his equipment and give away his position. He remembered the words of his formal Admiral, spoken only two days prior. "Recommended for a unique mission"... well, this is certainly a change from my SEAL days.

Considering the game we've had so far, kinda. I mean, this jungle is brutal at giving out retarded deaths and injuries.
