User74, it sounds to me like you have DR's best interests in mind... But your implementation hasn't been thought through, and could easily be seen as a harvesting attempt to steal other's registration codes.

Actually, all the cracks I've seen don't bother making new keys, they just bypass the key checking process. Makes more sense anyway.

No, I won't see the codes, they will be checked by Data Realms. By making a list of servers encrypted in the cortex command executable, that includes the verification, and online play servers, but i believe i need permission from Data Realms before posting the version with online play.

How exactly will this be, well, how will it be done? CC has no online code, no plans to change that, and the only methods we've seen work were over a LAN. I really just can't see this working, even if he does have the refrigorator sized server needed to handle this.

If it works over LAN, theoretically it can work over the internet. It's still the same protocols, just through a lot of devices and intermediaries.

Doesn't mean I think it will work, and this is assuredly a scam.
