Post Plasma Trapper
Introducing.....

Image

The Plasma Trapper is a fully functional device that allows you to ensnare your enemies in a plasma bubble for 10 seconds while you mock them with laughter/run away. The actor, as well as its bullets cannot escape the plasma field, so you can feel free to shoot at them and watch them die. You can throw a grenade in the plasma bubble, but it , as well as the particle that detonate from it, will not escape the bubble.

Actors on your team are not affected by this in any way, preventing friendly fire.

Exhibit A: Trapping an enemy.

Exhibit B: An enemy trying to escape.

Hope you guys enjoy

It looks awesome!

Though based on the GIFs, You could add a version that closes in on them while their trapped inside. Giving them a quick but messy death.

Anyways, First DL. Will have results later.

EDIT: LOL. I trapped a rocket in a bubble. It unloaded it's troops while inside. Then it couldn't move...So it blew up in the bubble. No particles or explosions came out so they literally got incinirated (typo lololol). There was nothing left.

OVERALL: Perfect. Just add one that closes in on them and crushes them like bugs in a egyptian spike wall trap. Oh wait...Bugs are fast.

Nice take on a reverse bubble shield.

A neat idea.

Seems to attract passing bullets to the center of the shield.

EDIT: I would recomend SetWhichMOToNotHit on the bullets, so they harm the shooter.

Well thanks for the suggestions, guys. Appreciate them.
I'll try that idea you had, gulstaff soon. Maybe not tomorrow, but probably soon.
As for the SetWhichMOToNotHit, I never have used that, so I really don't know how to integrate it
properly.

Edit: Yeah it attracts bullet towards the center cuz of the Vel code.

Code:
x:SetWhichMOToNotHit(x,1)

Add that, replace x with the target particle and done.

This is funky as!

@gulstaff
Did the rocket gibs turn to land inside it?
If so, that's cool as, if not, STEEL RAIN!

Well, On one rocket it turned into land. Another I caught turned into molten rain. But it was harmless.

Very nice. This would have been heavy competition for my vote in the weekend mod if it was polished like this.

Pretty neato, Mind. A+ Good twist on what has become a standard staple mod.

Looks very nice, but my one gripe is that the device won't work unless I hit an enemy(I wanted to test its bomb containing powers without needing an opponent. Also please make a version that crushes people. :P

The problem with crushing is that scale does not work on glows.
You could change it to just a ring, but it would lose the glowly appeal.

You could also make a glow animation using emittersc, but you get lag.

It was actually a little extra trouble to make it only hit opponents. I'll upload a "hit all" version later.
