When i set an actor to gold dig, all they do is point the digger into the sky, firing it randomly?

Is this a known bug or is it just me?

Known bug, been that way for a long while
No idea when Data will get around to fixing it.

Instead of using Gold Dig mode, give them a digger and then tell them to move to a location with gold in which is within the ground. With luck, they will tunnel towards that gold, meanwhile collecting any gold in the way.
