Highly effective slicing claws
Here at Tradestar Industries we have developed a material that excels at cutting through armour and flesh alike. We have used it to develop a pair of highly effective claws available for purchase. By evilteborThis is my first mod however it has a custom sprite and rte and all that. However it is a modified version of the space marine chainsaw. Please post constructive comments and suggestions. Practically Wolverine claws. Note: You will find them in the shields tab!I improved the sprite by adding shading.

The sprite is pretty crap, but if it's modified as much as he claims, I'm willing to let that slide. Pretty much any mod is a recode of another one.

Now that's just mean, he ain't a spriter, so don't go all "DIS R SHITZ LEEV NAO" on him. Try to be nicer. OP > Posting your 1st mod is usually discouraged, unless its very good. Look at some of the base sprites for examples of the style, and try to mimic it. If you can't, adding shading helps improve the look of the sprite a lot.

Re: Highly effective slicing claws
Heavily modified? He didnt even change the preset names. I see gib Chainsword 1, 2, etc, partcle Chainsword, etc. He just changed the filepaths.
Edit : He deleted the DL and ran. Too bad I didnt save it.

I'll give this a little while to see if he reuploads it with less I-blatantly-stole-this presets.

Re: Highly effective slicing claws
Seraph, please close this. I looked at his new code... He changed the preset names I mentioned, but none of the others... Round chainsword, muzzleflash chainsword, magazine chainsword, etc. And he blatantly copied the attack animation of the chainsword aswell (Vertical, then horizontal, with the same shitty sprite)

Re: Highly effective slicing claws
That's not a mod at all. That's a copy of the chainsword with a bad sprite. I mean really?

Ty madmonkey i'll come back in a while with a few new things and anyway this has helped me learn a load of things about how to make weapons so it was all worthwhile.

Note: It does not take an expert modder, or expect critic to critique well. And you're an ironic person when on these forums. There's a reason why most 1st mods are not well received, as they're usually super bullet sprayers, mods of mods, or a base resprite/recoding.
