Re: Lua Guns -B23-
... I think that would be appropriate. Ridiculously so. Would you run into the problem of the turrets hitting each other?

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
I don't think so. As long as the stick is long enough.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
but with all these homing missiles, someone needs to make dropships that fire off flares to stop the missiles....

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Then one would have to make them so that they don't attract missiles, just make the ones targeting the dropship target the flares instead, and whaen the flares is still on-screen, other missiles with no target should fly towards it.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
hmm, i wonder if someone can make heat seeking missiles that actually seek out heat not just actors/dropships, like fire, or if there is napalm going off somewhere, or recently deceased actors...

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Holy ♥♥♥♥ this gunship is epic! You just can't beat two YAK4700's blasting away with a missile turret. I killed 45 dummies in maybe two minutes in maginot with it. Now off to make it look not so stupid.

Don't forget to make the missile your special homing heavy missile!

Have you made a throwable vortex bomb yet? If not, do it!

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Dear OP
One thing I noticed is that utter redundancy. Don't do that. Modulate things. If you're going to gravitate everything toward a point, make a gravity.lua and include Gravitate(point, ignorelist). Include that file in any other file that needs to pull everything toward a point. Or make it even more accessible, and have an optional third/fourth/fifth argument specifying types to gravitate/not gravitate.
I modified your coding to function based off this concept, and it works perfectly fine with half the bloat. Include files by simply dofile()ing them.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Yeah, I guess the code could do with some cleanup. It's not very necessary though since only the gravity script is used by more than one thing.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
It works, but it's ugly. I've run into some problems with the stick since the turrets always go behind it. I'll have to make the stick be attached through lua too I guess.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
That idea is gonna be too laggy and also it looks like ♥♥♥♥ right now(no offense). Here's an idea for one that would look spiffy AND be functional. The engines are lifting fans rather than rocket engines. If you could make it so it drops in kinda hard to simulate it hitting atmosphere after being in orbit, that'd look really cool(I have no idea how that could be accomplished).

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
I know it's ugly. I'm trying to make it not be. I guess I'll just fix the drones first and release them. And thanks for that drawing, i'll use that in spriting these.
