Infinity Void
On a recent exploration of the planet, an oddity of nature was found. This place is known as the Infinity Void. The Infinity Void has a blue-ish color to the ground. Nobody knows why.... It's also known to have a massive amount of gold deep under the hardened ground. The gravity is also slightly lower than normal because of the weird atmosphere around it. Strange white glowing balls fall from the sky. Screenies: Diggin' for gold. The ground gets pretty hard down there. (No, not all of those are the falling glows. The bright white stars are static, the ones that look like they fade out are the falling ones) *NOTE*THIS MAY LAG ON SLOW/OLD COMPUTERS

Re: Infinity Void
This map is weird enough to be on another planet. I don't have the time to test it right now, but from the pics it look really cool. Good job. I'll test playability later.

Re: Infinity Void
Aw, I was hoping you had made a black hole on map or something. Ah well, this is quite a nice substitute.

Re: Infinity Void
Does anyone else here think Crickets Plutonian Martians or the Old Ones mod would go epicly with this?

Re: Infinity Void
I like this! It feels very haunting.
As for improvements, the flat parts of the map look too flat to me, which makes it seem artificial, and the falling stars disappear a bit short where the ground is low.
The background looks great, but if you made the 1 layer of stars into 2-3 and gave them each different scroll rates I think it would look even more striking.

Re: Infinity Void
Make the stars have an ever so slight sharpness, like 0.00000001 sharpness, so staying out for ages on end will eventually kill you. One assumes that the orbs emit light, so whatever makes them do that will be slightly harmful.

I suggest a more intense weather. Hail, anybody?

Re: Infinity Void
How about- "There is alot of..."
...
No.. There really isn't any way to affect gravity with the atmosphere.
Ah well. It's supposed to be an anomaly anyway.

Re: Infinity Void
I quite <3 this map.
Between your new textures with the blue-ness, the general set up, and having the moon in the background.. It's a fairly good map.

Re: Infinity Void
MAPS ARE RED! MAPS ARE BLUE! WHEN YOU GO INTO PHOTOSHOP AND FUDGE UP THE HUE!
I like this map, simply because its blue, and it has the moon. Its just the right size that I struggle against bear faction AI on normal.

Re: Infinity Void
This is my first serious attempt to make a scene. Glad to see you guys like it.
Should I make a series of scenes in this style?
