Re: Dassara
While collecting different materials than gold is a neat idea, it's kind of lame how the silver visibly turns into gold when dug. I guess it's the best that can be done right now, but I'm not sure it was worth doing. Also, the silver is frustratingly scarce.

Re: Dassara
My mistake. I just get kinda tired looking at the same terrain over and over. Starting from scratch can really net high(er) quality results, though I admit is a lot more time intensive.

I mean make a copyof = gold and then change the color into gray?

Cool map, but it's too big. It lags like the ♥♥♥♥ plague. Otherwise, nifty aesthetic.

This map is very nice to look at. My only complaint is that the "sun" appears too frequently. At higher resolutions, you can see two or three suns at once.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a liveable world that revolved around three suns...

I think the orbit of a planet revolving around three suns would be pretty wacky, and would probably end up being pulled into one of the suns.
...However its science fiction for a reason.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a liveable world that revolved around three suns... It IS a desert after all. But seriously, why not make a big yellow glow and pin it on the scene like tim did in that one map with the rainbow? I tried to do something like it once, and it kinda worked, just was hard to do and it got deleted.

Re: Dassara
In terms of multiple suns, Gunsmoke from Trigun comes to mind, as does the Mirrodin set of cards from Magic: The Gathering. I believe they had 5 suns.
Regardless, I think anything goes when we're talking sci-fi.
