Post Help with map.
Hey everyone, well I just attempted to make my first map. It was going quite well 'till i tried to play it.
Code:
Abortion in file .\system\contentfile.cpp, line 356, because:
Failed to load datafile objec with the following path and name:
Splitlands.rte/Images/Terrain/Splitlands.bmp
(Yadda yadda yadda...)

I Really have no clue what I did wrong. I followed the pallette and i used RLE (Or whatever) Compression. Can anyone help me? Heres the maps picture:Image

You know, I'm having the same trouble. I got the same error message. If someone could help me too, I'd appreciate it.

Copy the image and paste it into an actual copy of one of the base.rte scene images. That will force the colors in your image to be exactly what the game wants.

Actually my trouble is with the Materials and Textures, and I'm using the same textures that are already in the Base folder. Here's the error message:

LOL!

ok, so I fixed the problem. I realized that it was Apocalypse, not Apocalypse.rte.

however, when I loaded it up... the entire map was Grasslands backdrop... it didn't load up any of the backdrops I made...

any ideas of what went wrong?

Ok I fixed it looking like Grasslands backdrop, but now it's all black. None of my backdrops appear when I start up the level. just black nothingness. I hope it's not a problem with my images (I don't see how it could be)

I love this forum, I've fixed most of my problems just by talking to myself LOL!

Hmm, I haven't modded in ages but still.. In that picture of yours, is it trying to reference a picture with no filetype? just sand. Not sand.bmp for example.
