Post Flatdirt Map
Update 31 July: The map is now in line with the grid so bunker modules can be exactly placed without a little offset!

This is a rather large, simple, flat map made out of dirt. Its the hard dirt which is hard to get through with normal weapons so that it doesn’t get destroyed to fast.
The mud is rather deep, the sky goes quite high, and the maps length is really big, but not big enough to lag the game. I hope you enjoy playing on this as much as I do ^^.

I made this because I’ve only ever seen one flat map on the entire forum but that was ages ago (don’t correct me if I’m wrong) and I’ve searched but got nothing so here... a simple flat map if you don’t know how to make one.

By the way: This is my first map of any sort.

Same as the guy before me.

I'd been waiting for someone to come up with that. A simple, flat battleground. A little plain, but this will be a great battlefield.

Good job!

Maybe this is the "long island" I've always heard about. Thanks, dude!

It isn't. Long Island has more varied terrain, and custom backgrounds.
I like this for the simplicity of it.

It's too perfectly flat, and lack of terrain variation keels me. At least put some grass and topsoil.

Beleive it or not thats the point, perfectly flat and no top dirt so you dont keep sinking or whatever. the dark dirt is hard to go through. but seriously though...

Yeah, see, that's what annoys me about this, it's too perfect. I guess it'sss awwriiight if you're looking for an aircraft carrier of a map, but to me every map must have some variations.

This is cool.
The repeeating texture is annoying, but I dont know if there is anything you can do about that.

As far as i know the only way that would work is using a much higher-resolution texture. So thats out of the question. :/

But, how long did this take? Ten minutes? An Hour? I've never made a map, and I'm sure I could make this. At least put bolders in the ground so it isn't the same flat dirt everywhere.
But still, this is very useful.

Oh, god, you're idiocy knows no bounds.
This is meant to be flat and plain to allow a clean environment to test mods.
