sorry to necro but I just tried this mod and there are several problems.

first of all the laser that the gun uses is strange. it will show up passing through material, possibly hitting another actor, yet doing no damage, It has no effect on terrain, which I guess makes sense, and there is a HUGE bug where the sound that the gun uses gets stuck in a loop and NEVER stops.

It's only a necro if the thread is 20 days or more old. 1 day isn't a necro. Also, the passing through problem probably is because I"m assuming the beam is a sprite and not particles. The looping sound is a problem with Cortex Command.....which I thought B20 corrected....

well I have not had that sound problem with any other gun before, mod or otherwise.

They were also edited clones with edited clone sprites, but they didn't have beam rifles.


Instead of flaming you like I had the impulse to for making a completely uncreative mod (just like every other shmuck), I decided I'd copy Metal Chao's response.

Change the gun to fire a larger stream of "bullets" its weak right now.
