You reply back:

"Hello. I'm guessing that big shadow over there isn't friendly, huh?"
"Indeed. I am off to investigate it now, in fact."

The bat flies off in the direction of the shadow, and you turn your attention to your own matters. Looking around, you spot a doorway jutting out of the ground, probably leading a long way to the ground. Walking over to the edge of the building, you see that jumping would be a faster method, but probably not the safest.

There are also plenty of other bat-things flying around that should be within shouting distance, maybe they can do something to help you?

You hear another crashing sound somewhere.

You fly gently in the direction of the shadow, and you notice that you don't feel anything bothering you except for the scratch on your chest.

Passing several of your kind along the way, they seem to shy away from you if you get too close. Ignoring that, in the direction of the shadow, you can see a giant, black, limb-like appendage vanish behind a building, about as long as half of the average tower in the city.

Another tower falls.

The dragon swoops down and lands, and you can see that is has a massive wingspan compared to the rest of its body. The dragon lowers its neck and you hop on, and then it jumps and takes off again.

After a bit of forward flying, a strange dark tunnel opens up in front of the two of you and the dragon flys through. The inside is completely black, and not too far away is a light that marks what you assume is the end. A few seconds of flying through the void and the two of you arrive in what appears to be a city of tall, sand-stone towers, most of them standing but many damaged or fallen.

Near one of the towers, you hear Gustaf's voice:

"Hey! Could someone help me onto the ground? Maybe by holding onto me and flapping so I fall slower?"

Looking around, you see Gustaf standing on a building waving to some bat-like creatures flying in the sky. The dragon you're riding on swoops over Gustaf and grabs him by the shoulders with its clawed feet, and flies towards the center of the city.

Keep your weapon ready, archer.

Not too far off, you hear the high-pitched screeching sounds. Lots of them.

> Using Flare, Fire, and Air, you create a sphere of fiery hell the size of your head, and launch it at the golem. The sphere holds its shape until it collides with the creature, where it then unleashes an explosion of heat, flames, and a powerful shockwave.

When the fires dissipate, the upper torso of the golem is missing, and in its place is a huge, smoldering hole. The creature slumps forward and slams into the ground, dead.

The last corrupted soldier raises its face to the air and lets out a long, piercing screech.

Firing off a blast of pure magic energy, it doesn't reach out any where near the creature, but you see a large number of dots drop off of which soon start moving towards you while screeching.
