Is the camp gonna be persistent between missions?

Get in the vehicle, find a gun port if there is one and keep an eye out for enemies.

Roll 3 - Day 1



Harzipan - Evagria 8:
You and the rest of your squad head to the garage to find that command has sent you a brand new present! It's just a transport vehicle. You don't know a lot about these, so you just take a seat in the back.
You fall asleep on the way there. The car fails, but you stay asleep. Nobody wakes you up until you get there.
You dream of your father. He has a tear in his eye as he looks at you.
"Goodbye, Evagria."
He is containing himself the best he can. You know it's going to be rough for him..
You hug him and, without a word, step onto the hover-train taking you to the Initiation Center.
You arrive at the large, dome-like building that is the Initiation Center. There are many long lines of people, soon to be soldiers, stood waiting for the enlistment receptionists to get to them. The various lines have signs above for the job you are aiming for. Though in the end it comes down to how you score on your exams, the military does offer a service to shape your training to your ideals.
What desk did you choose?



Lucem - Siobhan 10:
You hop into the hovercar, into the back, and pull out your rifle. You fiddle with the charging handle a bit, check the magazine, safety, and stock adjustments for any abnormalities. Finding none, you slide the gun back around your shoulder. You unholster your pistol and do the same. The slide has a bit of powder on it, so you grab a cloth and very modestly clean off the residue.
The vehicle starts up, and after a few seconds of uncomfortable wobbling as the hovering mechanisms ready themselves, you're off.
About 30 minutes into the drive, Jonathon speaks up.
"What are we doing again?"
"We're going to a friendly camp to help defend an incoming troop movement." You say.
"Oh, alright. How much longer until we're there?"
You shrug and give a face of condescending agitation, that just says "Why the ♥♥♥♥ do you expect us to know??"
"About 20 more minutes." Charlie mutters.
You have no idea how he would know, but whatever. He's Charlie. He knows these kinds of things.
Suddenly, the car slows, sputters, and hits the ground. You've crashed. Oooohh, boy.



Arcalane - Cassidy 9:
You get in the vehicle, which happens to be aptly named "Chimera" and wait for someone to start up the autonavigation system. Human pilots are dangerous, as they have a much wider margin of error. The AI is also capable of interpreting dangerous situations, so you won't get killed just because the AI didn't know there was no bridge somewhere or if you're in combat.
You look out the window (which is really just one-way transparent armor) and watch the trees go by. You pass several clearings, hills, and even the ruins of a log cabin, but nothing interesting passes.
There is some idle chatter about half-way into the ride but you pay no attention as you read a book from your PDA.
Just as you about reach the climax of the story, you feel the car rumbling and shaking. Then it falls with an oomph and you just about bust your ass falling.
God damn it. The book was just getting good, too.



TheKebbit - Charlie 10:
You take some ammo from the stores and throw it in a small space in the area between the navigation AI housing and your seats. As much as you want to grip on the edge of the car like in the movies, you can't, as there is no available grippery and thus sit down next to the rest of your squad.
You sit quietly, thoughtlessly, drifting off into a near sleep-ish state of nonthinking and yet, active consciousness.
That is, until the vehicle fails and crashes. Being the mechanic of the group, it'll probably be up to you to fix it.




CrazyMLC - Jonathon 16:
Much to the unease of your companions, you make a strange combination of hyena and pterodactyl noises on the way onto the vehicle. Along the way, you also find a cool golden trinket buried in the ground! You silently take it and get in.
Not much happens on the way, until you crash of course. You do ask Siobhan a few questions, but she isn't much help.




Izen - Jacob 14:
You get in the floaty car and sit and wait and it crashes. Yada yada yada. If you read the others' stuff you already know.



Maart3n - Herbert 13:
You climb into the gunner's seat of the vehicle, which is actually inside of it to prevent casualty. It is controlled by a targeting system inside, not unlike a submarine's telescope.
Thankfully you do not have to use it as of yet, as no enemies cross your path. However, mid-way through the journey, the car breaks down, leaving you stranded in the Russian wilderness.



CaekDaemon - Johnathon 9:
You find one of many small, openable windows with which a gun may be pointed out of. For the sake of safety you keep the port closed until you need it, which you don't. You keep your eyes peeled for enemies though. On your way there, the vehicle stops and you must wait for someone to try and fix it.



WORLD EVENTS


The squad heads out into the wilderness towards the friendly camp, but on the way are faced with the crashing of the vehicle. Someone must repair it. It is advised that this hindrance is reported to command, and that guard is kept while the vehicle is being fixed.
