If you don't understand what it's about, then you don't deserve to play.

This game is beautiful and is well worth it. It is short though and doesn't take too long to finish (30 minutes to an hour of gameplay) but playing it over and over is just as great as playing it the first time. Journey has a soundtrack that is incredible, will take you emotionally, and gives an awesome experience.

A lot of these people though are soaked in mainstream FPS shooters and MMOs and can't appreciate a well made storyline or plot. This game is a perfect example of that and what people would think about it. Some people say "It's ♥♥♥♥ and boring" cause it's nothing but you exploring your way up to a mountain, where as others would say the opposite because they look at what else the game has to offer other than just the mechanics of the game.

All in all though, 10/10 from my view.

I don't own a PS3 and can't experience this game.
I like ambient games, I just didn't realize what this one was about.

Yeah, I've been hearing raving reviews from critics and friends alike. I have a bud on another forum who's usually not at all fazed by "emotion" in video games, and his response to the ending:
Quote:
Oh, and the ending. Wow. A not insignificant part of me wishes to slap myself across the face until I am cured of the desire to type phrases like "emotional experience", but, well... it kinda was.
The game looks utterly gorgeous and I really cannot wait to get my PS3 back and play it.

Miggles: It doesn't look exciting, but the reviews (and the fact that Kotaku praised it) alone should kind of hint that it's something special.

I sorta want to try it now. Even though it's one of those emotional art-type games.
Too bad no PS3.

Mooch off of a friend, it can be beat (once) within an hour or so.

Dammit, why must they make these bloody console exclusives. I'd love to try that, but no PS3 here either.

Phew, sorry for the bump, but I just got to try this.

That said, I think this is the first game that I've ever really felt involved in - and I'm certain that it's the first game I've ever had arouse real emotion in me.

It really is just a great experience. I was really lucky to be able to play with one person throughout my journey, and he was a pro who knew what he was doing. He caught me where I stumbled.

The way the game unfolds itself to you is pretty spectacular. To put it bluntly, it's the most immersive game I've played to date.
I recommend at least giving it a try.
