Yes indeed. Who has a copy?
We can walk through the countryside, look at the butterflies and make love in the shade of an abandoned barn and shoot men with guns.

Re: ArmA II
So is this game meant to be played with a controller, or just mouse and keyboard? And how's the storyline, gameplay, community, etc?

Tomaster wrote: So is this game meant to be played with a controller, or just mouse and keyboard? Ahahaahhaaha. Oh man. If you have Xpadder or something similar, then you can try to play it with a controller, but there are a lot of controls. The developers made a video to teach people the controls. Gameplay wise, see the last post on the last page for just some of the things you can do. The mission editor is pure gold- easy to make a 100v100 transport plane battle, but also great for making intricate campaigns. The main campaign has a reasonable storyline, but it is not the reason you'd play. At all. As for the community... well. There is a ridiculously active modding community, for starters. Zombies, starwars, stalker, world war 2, there are plenty of mods. Loads of community missions, and islands as well. Forums are here.

Re: ArmA II
Just posting to say I have ArmA II. I may be able to play online, I haven't yet tested it, so I do not know how much bandwidth it will use (I have a 5gb/month cap, live in middle of nowhere, etc), and if I will lag. I can play CoD4 without lagging though, so :/.

Re: ArmA II
I love ArmA II, I remember when my bro and I had ACE and used the m32s, only to be taken down by a stray MG bullet. Good times.... But anyway, I think ArmA II is probably my second choice of something to play, before which is Cortex Command (just cause its fun like that). If you have OA, it makes the experience a lot better, in my opinion.

Re: ArmA II
Necroing like crazy... but nevermind. I have ArmA II Reinforcements and I find it pretty cool. Nothing in common with other FPS, guns aim like ♥♥♥♥, run for two hours to see a badguy that pull out a headshot on you from nowhere... But something I love is the armory, oh yeah ! I'll be hanging on multiplayer, ready for a DRLFF misson-coop-thingy.

Well it's strange because my vehicles aren't strange/inaccurate/whatever.... I just noticed that nobody was playing on multiplayer, is it that old ?

Re: ArmA II
Hmm, there should still be a fair amount of people playing online. Are you not seeing any servers? Are you sure your list is updating? Most serious mp players play with mods/addons anyways as far as I'm aware. Best to join a clan or similar if you want to get into it.
