Sure, I don't need mine anymore, I've got a Postal Pummeler. Which is, for those who don't know, a mailbox that has the exact same stats as the Axtinguisher.

Or more rather it is a remodel and a retexture of the Axtinguisher.
This game is not composed entirely of sprites. This is not the NES.
Most everything in this game is made of these neat little objects called Polygons, which shape the form of every 3D object in almost all 3D games now a days. (most other 3D games use voxels or other cool stuff but that's irrelevant.)
A polygon takes the shape of any 3-dimensional figure, so it could be a cube, a sphere, a cone, or what have you.
Basically they are the building blocks of this (and many other) game(s).

Okay, I can't help it: if you're going to tell him that he doesn't know what a resprite is, I'm going to have to tell you that you don't know what a polygon is. They aren't 3D shapes. They're two-dimensional shapes. 3D shapes are made up of several (or several thousand) polygons, arranged in such a way that the image appears to be in three dimensions.

You can't really even call it a remodel or a retexture, considering that requires it to be the same subject made twice.
It's just reusing the axetinguisher's stats, nothing more.

A Postal Pummeler is what I believe the TF2 community would call a "reskin"

They'd still be wrong because a reskin would mean it didn't have a new model, but this entire discussion is completely pointless and I don't see why the word "resprite" was ever objected to in the first place because everyone clearly understood what he meant.

Grif is sooo funny =D

So well... I started playing and the game is cool, and it doesn't lag heavily on my computer. Unless there are a lot of things happening at the same time in my screen.

Anyway so, uhm... The heavy is fun to use. I really loved getting ubercharged by the medic and killing a lot of guys quickly.

Hey Grif
I was trying to be helpful dude.
Calm down.

@TLB I knew that, I was just putting it in simpler terms.

@Asklar have you tried out soldier yet? Soldier is fun. What's your steam?

no no no no no no no

no.

you don't get to backpedal from 'completely ♥♥♥♥ wrong' to 'I was trying to explain it just in simpler terms'

by definition to explain something is to tell what it is/why it happens/etc

if you explain it wrong then you're not really explaining it, are you

and the only person who needs to calm down is you, for going on a laughably stupid rant and trying to act smart when you so obviously do not qualify

I'm calm, see. are you mad?

Not once did I say that a polygon is 'by definition, blah blah blah'.
I don't see why you must unnecessarily act like this. This isn't even a topic that remotely matters by any extension of the word. (the word matters) Before we get a runaway train, lets get this thread back on the rails, eh?
