Re: Dead Island
I hate living in Germany. Higher prices PLUS banned games/german versions.

Re: Dead Island
My brother had some friends over and some of my property mysteriously disappeared, so I'm broke and can't afford this. When I finally DO purchase it, I'll let y'all know.

Re: Dead Island
Gather round children. Uncle Trystan has a story to share amongst ye.
Firstly, from what Ive gathered, this game is LONG. Its really, really, really long. I have been playing for an entire day and Im still on the second chapter. A few questions will be answered. Leg dismemberment, impossible on a living zombie. You cant smash or cut their legs off only until after killing them, a shame really, It would have been nice to have them crawl towards you COD zombie style. The rest of the dismemberment, amazing. I use the hook thing to slice through them like jelly. The weapon system, I havnt actually gotten to it, the only gun Ive fired is the rage gun, It worked like in Fallout where it would automatically shoot your selected target. A very annoying feature is that I cant play it offline, so I have to start it and disconnect my modem. Quite frustrating. I managed to smash a zombies face in. As in flat. FLAT. Think, frog on road, run over 20 times flat. I only did that once, trying several times thereafter but failing. The game is really fun though, a true sandbox game, exploration is near endless, limited to the island of course. The system used for completing tasks reminded me of Far Cry 2, you choose whether to accept a task or not, and I found that rejecting a task really makes you feel bad. The game induced compassion. I also noticed that every female has massive cleavage and a protruding bikini bump. Giggity. I also read that the asian woman prefers to kill zombies with a "breeze". Google it. A really great game.

Re: Dead Island
Purna's rage pistol is the only one that auto-aims, thankfully. When you find a normal gun it'll be good old fashioned aiming. I'd only use them against other humans though. Bullets are wasted on zombies. Also, I think you might need to find better weapons, because you can chop off a zombie's leg while he's alive. (He'll die instantly though, so no crawling towards you either. Yeah, now that I think of it, that is a shame.) And, yeah, Xian is indeed... uhh... travelling light. Silly devs. My only major annoyances are Steam itself and those annoying 'You're leaving the playable area!' messages. Talking about an immersion breaker.

Re: Dead Island
I think that they shouldve had mutant zombie sharks or something, the mainland is really in a swimable distance afaik. Also, playing the game with my xbox 360 controller feels so much better than keyboard, Ill bet its because of the weapon handling.

Re: Dead Island
I have Dead Island, and I thought it was pretty awful. The storyline was cringe-inducing, the NPCs were annoying, and seriously, ♥♥♥♥ THE INFECTED. SERIOUSLY, ♥♥♥♥ THOSE GUYS. Fighting a Thug? Durrhurrhurr, run up behind you and windmill you without making any noise, because things that aren't in front of you make no sound for some reason. Trying to get onto a ladder? WINDMILL'D! See that drink over there? Go to drink it, WINDMILL'D! Seriously, ♥♥♥♥ Dead Island.

Happily (the game) xbox has no modability whatsoever. So you can't enjoy delicious mods like, Fist Of The Dead Star http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoLadZotBuEOr Director's Cut
