Re: Simple Lua requests thread.
Wow, you guys look like youre actually gonna pull off the dynamic water right here.
But how dynamic will it be? Lets say you have a silo of water in a small tower silo that gets shot at and breaks. How will the water act? Will it fall down and create a small puddle of water or spread around the tower somehow and will it have all the floating attributes that even if the water that was in the silo is poured in a trench or a hole will still be able to make your favorite plastic boat like it would in the silo?

Re: Simple Lua requests thread.
I think the biggest problem is that the same amount of water that goes to a trench (extends towards the background) goes to a small canister just as easily, even though it has nearly no depth.

The water would act like hyper-chunky milk. It wouldn't look correct when not in a pond-shaped orifice either. Putting screeneffects over them isn't going to change the near-no particle physics happening. It wouldn't react like water should.

No Near Particle Physics?
Otherwise it sounds like a valid Hypothesis.
But apparently, I don't have the proper Lua knowledge to preform the actual experiment. So it'd be great if someone more adept with Lua tried their hand at this.

How can I cycle trough devices like in Code: for actors in MovableMan.Actors or Code: for particle in MovableMan.Particles Just to complete those portals...

Well... we could, in theory, exchange the amount of particles, with the lagginess. Let's make the particles smaller and have more lag. Everyone is happy!(?)

Chunky milk water is better than no water >_>

Hey zalo, care to pm me what you currently have, I just might be able to get it work. Don't take my word on it though.

Re: Simple Lua requests thread.
I've got nothing, except a skeleton scene. And a basic Cement Gun edit that shoots a "Water" MOPixel 1 particle at a time for testing.
But I suppose it is easier to start off that than to start from scratch.

Then why did you say it would act like chunky milk?

Also, if they are just forcing their way away from each other, they shouldn't have friction. All the better. (Though a minuscule amount of damping should be applied to keep things stable.)

And I dunno, a playpen area might be fun. "Hey kids! New surprise in the playpen! Claymore mines! Yaaaaay!"
