Hello, I do believe I am the first poster with an issue with the linux b24. I am running Arch x64 (and the 64 bit build of CC, of course). Everything works fine except for the audio. cAudioEngineLog.html is created, but devoid of content. Sometimes I get "[Error] OpenAL Error: Invalid Value." in the console when running CC, but not always. The output of openal-info seems to all be in order with no missing devices, etc.

Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

I'll download the Linux build and test it on my copy of Arch, hopefully I'll be able to come up with something helpful.

Try the 32 bit version.

I have to install about 3 billion 32 bit packages to do this but alright.

edit: and by 3 billion I mean five.

Code:
[peet@worktop CortexCommand32]$ ./CortexCommand
./CortexCommand.bin: /usr/lib32/libcrypto.so.0.9.8: no version information available (required by ./libs/libcurl.so.4)
./CortexCommand.bin: /usr/lib32/libssl.so.0.9.8: no version information available (required by ./libs/libcurl.so.4)
ALSA lib pcm.c:2171:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so
ALSA lib pcm.c:2171:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so
AL lib: alsa.c:587: Could not open playback device 'default': No such file or directory
[Error] Failed to Create OpenAL Device.
[Error] OpenAL Error: (null).

Despite those errors, sound actually works. Maybe my alsa is half-broken (since other alsa apps work) and that's what openal is trying to use in 64 bit but since I don't have 32 bit alsa it falls back to OSS or pulse and works? Anyway thanks for your help.

The 64 bit version seems to be broken, since quite a lot of people are having problems. Better stick with the 32bit one.
