Every time I try to start my game I get an error message that says: RTE Aborted! (x_x) Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp Line 531 because: Wrong type in reader when passed to Serializable::Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 184 The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp' My game used to work, and yes I have several mods installed, but when I disable them it gives me the same message. Edit: Apparently it has something to do with Cortex Command Mod Manager, because if I start the game with the .exe it opens just fine. |

Means your settings are borked. If it works from the .exe then grab base.rte/settings.ini and dump that into whatever the mod manager uses, I assume. |

Well I've got the settings.ini, but I don't know where to put it. I have CC Mod Manager in my documents folder, so could that be a problem? Although that wouldn't make much sense because it worked before. |

Although that wouldn't make much sense because it worked before. Settings.ini goes in Cortex Command/Base.rte and IIRC Mod Manager should be in the Cortex Command folder. Like, D:/Cortex Command/Base.rte/Settings.ini And D:/Cortex Command/CC Mod Manager/CortexCommandModManager.exe |

That didn't fix it, I think I may have the solution, I went down to line 184 on the .ini and noticed that some stuff was missing when I compared it to the others. So I believe in order to fix the problem I just need a new Settings.ini. So I'll go grab another one and try it. Edit, That seemed to do it, now I just have to unregister and re-register the code. A Mod/Admin can lock/delete this now. |
