Okay first off, Im new to this game so forgive me if this is really n00bish, but I searched and searched and couldnt find any posts like this one Im about to post:

Many times (in dire, critical win/lose moments) Ive baught an actor and spent my gold on the best weapon to equipt for him to use, only to find after that he WONT PICK IT UP! :O

I thought that it just could be that only dummies can use dummy guns, colition can only use their faction's guns, etc. but then I was somehow able to have zombies use all sorts of different faction's guns and same with dummies.

Is this a glitch in the game, or is it just a physic I am not understanding or something?

Sometimes you have to crouch. The important part of picking things up is getting your actors "body" piece as close to the gun as possible. Best done on your chest or back.

Sometimes it's stuck on a pixel or its broken.
In either case it will not allow you to pick it up and you need to crouch on it and stuff.

Yeah I found out it only happens when I place actors on the map in the Set-Up-Before-Skirmish mode and then start the game
