Almost every time on a fresh install.

What mods are you using?
Presetnames beyond a certain character limit will freeze the game due to the new code for putting the name on several lines not accounting for long names such as flamethrower etc.
Also, slashes and hyphens are ignored in this case, only spaces will allow line breaks.

Hey, i'm also having this problem but did not see the need in creating a new topic for the same problem.

The mods I have installed are : Cauterizer, CombatModules, Diemos, LuaGuns and UniTec.

I was thinking we might be able to work out what mods we have in common to solve this issue

Guys Purple is saying it's on a clean install AKA no mods.

I found this used to happen occasionally, usually after some kind of craft I'm using gibs and the game auto-switches to my brain, which is when I would try to immediately buy more stuff.

If you wait a few seconds and then select the buy menu slowly, when there's no lag of any kind going on, it shouldn't happen. No one has been able to properly explain this so far, as it happens pretty rarely.

Ah, didn't see where he said it was a clean install. Now I think about it this has been happening to me before I installed any mods, and was even a problem back in b22.

The game is pretty much crippled for me, I cannot buy any new men, cannot enter the buy menu what so ever for that matter.
