RTE 'abortion' error

Post subject:  RTE 'abortion' error

So I just recently purchased the 'full' version of Cortex Command, thought to myself "Freakin' sweet", and it worked fine for a couple days. Today, I decided to install weapons mod. The instructions seemed simple - extract the folder into your cortex command directory, which I did. However, now, whenever I try to start the game, I get a text box that says "RTE Aborted! (x_x)". It says:
"Abortion in file .\system\Reader.cpp, line 530 because:
Wrong type in Reader when passed to Serializable::Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 1!
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'".

But, when I check 'settings.ini', the file is 0kb and is blank.

Anyone know the problem here?

Cortex ate your Settings.ini. I suggest you reinstall, then keep a copy of it handy. That way if this happens again you can fix it faster.

These are my settings, so... you'll have to change them when you start your game.
