Post subject:  Cortex Command Doesnt start EDIT:Fixed
I have had Cortex Command (great game btw) build 21 for littler over a month and just now it seem that it doesnt want to start. Heres what i do: i double click cortex command, it shows the hourglass for a second and then nothing. I have tried: uninstalling and reinstalling, removing all mods and trying, installing in a new folder and then copying the contents of that folder into the previous folder with and without uninstalling the previous, and restarting my computer. It was working perfectly fine yesterday. Please help as i really want to play CC and im tired of soldat!! :eyeloss:

EDIT: for some reason i just turned on my cp and CC is working just fine now.

Hmm.. I've had this problem before. It may be that one instance of Cortex Command.exe never closed properly.

Try this:

CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open up task manager.
Go to processes.
Search for any 'Cortex Command.exe' processes.
If you do find any, right click it and hit 'end process'.

If there are none remaining, try starting up CC again.

I went to processes and there was not a snigle process that said "cortex command.exe" or the like. Anyways, i scanned with norton and it said i had no viruse, so, should i just restart my cp and wait for awhile? ive had it on since about 4:00 a.m.

Mine is on constantly. I've never had a problem with this, I don't know what to tell you. Try to install it in a different directory and see if it will run there.

I seem to be having this problem, but restarting my computer doesn't work for me. The game was working fine last week.

I've have the exact same problem! I cant start CC and i've tried restarting my computer, installing in a different directory, searching for it's process in the task manager, you name it! And the strangest thing is that one day when i tried, it worked just fine! But the next time i started my computer (the same day) it had stopped working again! (I'm seriosly pissed of about that) Oh, and BTW do u have a vista? Cuz i do, and who knows? It could be a vista related problem...
