Post Installing Windows 7 64 bit onto Windows 7 32 bit
I've ran into some complications while trying to upgrade my 32 bit Windows 7 to Windows 7 64 bit.

Alright, first I tried simply inserting the 64 bit OEM CD into the disk drive, but the disk is "incompatible with my 32 bit system."

Next, I discovered that I would have to boot the CD from the BIOS, so after restarting my computer and pressing F2, I tried finding the option to reorder the booting order so that the disk drive with the 64 bit software would boot first, instead of the hard disk with my current OS, but I found no option. I'm not sure if I'm pressing the wrong key, or I've somehow missed the boot reordering option repeatedly.

I've ran out of options at this point, so I humbly ask for a nudge in the right direction.

Thanks! :)

Hm, what BIOS do you have? Every BIOS should have that option somewhere.

Well, the manual for the motherboard tells me to press <DEL>, which I assume to be delete, to access the BIOS. I've tried restarting and pressing that key many times, but to no avail. I can access Windows 7 Boot Setup, however, but that's unassociated with what I'm trying to do.

The BIOS is V3.0, and the motherboard is an MSI 890FXA-GD65, if that helps.

Solved it!

I'm actually embarrassed at how simple the problem was - the keyboard was plugged into an invalid USB port, which wasn't picking up the <DEL> key on startup.
