I based this on the destruction engine of Red Faction : Guerrilla. Its basically an Obelisk. It does nothing but stand there. The sprite isn't awesome. It gibs like ♥♥♥♥. The physics are dodgy. BUT! It is (I think) the first collapsing building in CC. Here are some gifs : The Obelisk is a little laggy though. The more you put, the more the game slows down. So don't go around doing stupid stuff like this : (Even if its a pretty cool sight) To do list : -Better gibbing. -Custom wounds. -Make them always collapse and not "jump" out like in the first gif. -(Maybe) Better sprites. Won't do list : -More buildings. This mod is some kind of base too. If you want to make your own collapsing building feel free to use my code, sounds, sprites as you like. You can make things a lot taller than that, but not larger for now I'm afraid. So yeah, I want YOU to use this and make other buildings. Also note that this is a LUA FREE mod, so it would technically work on B22 too. Edit : Note again that the Obelisk can only be deployed in skirmishes during the bunker mode. It's located under the buildings tab. Here's the download :

My only thought after this was "MAKE THAT HUGE BRIDGE IN THE BADLANDS!!", then I can use some of my many many bombs to make it break in amusing ways. Yes I will be putting hidden messages in my posts from now on =-P |

Just needs some stages between massive block and shards of concrete. |

Needs to be made of more than just 6 pieces of concrete, and needs to just be improved overall. Though, it is a WIP. I might help with the graphics, but don't count on it, I don't have a lot of free time. |

They could use this for future builds and as a base standard for buildings. Good job mate. |

Hell maybe I'll make a full faction of buildings and trees some other time. hearty0 wrote: My only thought after this was "MAKE THAT HUGE BRIDGE IN THE BADLANDS!!", then I can use some of my many many bombs to make it break in amusing ways. Yes I will be putting hidden messages in my posts from now on =-P You sneaky little rat. The bridge in the badlands could be doable. Instead of putting the blocks on top of each others we could just put them side by side. Though it would affect the physics because if you shot at the other end of the bridge it would do nothing, unless you split the bridge in half. NaXx wrote: I like this one but crab wound? please fix that... otherwise, very nice gib-way ^^ Yeah I know I gotta do some custom concrete wounds for the blocks and put the Dent Metal wound on the frame. Oh and the way it collapse its not by gibbing, its by using attachables. What you see is the middle part of each frames attached to each other. The bottom frame part being attached to the base, the middle to the bottom and the top to the middle. Then you see 2 other piece of frame attached to the middle ones and concrete blocks attached to the 2 other pieces of frame. When you think of it, its a pretty simple system, though its impossible to make large buildings collapse that way, unless the middle parts actually supports the whole thing. |

Interesting, though not very practical... But pretty cool nonetheless. I'd like to see a fully destructible building. |

This is a pretty nice idea that could be well applied to sandbags or other destructible scenery. Very good. |
