CC with the Mayflash Gamecube adapter and another controller
I recently acquired a Mayflash Gamecube-to-PC adapter, and have been pretty pleased with its performance. It works well with everything I've played, but there's one significant problem. CC only recognizes the Mayflash adapter controllers if it's plugged in. The adapter has 4 ports, and CC only allows 4 controllers... which means that I can't use any other controller type if I have the adapter plugged in. CC also, as far as I'm aware, only detects controllers on start. This means I can't just plug the other controller in first.
Any ideas for how I could work around this? I'd like to play around with the GC controller, but the other guy I play with is really set on using another controller he's gotten to love.

I wonder how this thing look in windows, maybe you can disable unused controllers via Device Manager to make room for actually plugged controllers in CC? Controllers are managed via Allegro 4 library, I doubt we'll be able to change it to support this rare configuration, especially when we don't have anything like that nearby.

Re: CC with the Mayflash Gamecube adapter and another controller
Thank you for the idea of disabling the ports in the device manager; I think that will fix my issue.
For anyone curious, the adapter shows up as 4 separate controllers which can be disabled individually. I don't have access to another controller at the moment, but I was able to make some of the slots not respond so I think it'll work.

Re: CC with the Mayflash Gamecube adapter and another controller
Build 32's changes to the controller interface have been pretty nice (particularly the indicator of who's moving the cursor), but there's a fun new bug that I've only experienced recently.
My Gamecube controller works perfectly fine on its own, but it crashes the game if I use the command menu with it while another controller is plugged in. This happens even if there's only one player in-game, and even happens when the other controller isn't available to use because the Gamecube adapter is taking all 4 controller slots. Opening and closing the menu works perfectly fine; the crash happens when I move either the movement or aiming stick to interact with the command menu.
If there's a log file I can post, or some other test I can do to help figure out what the issue is, I'd like to.
Fixing this isn't super important, nor is there any time constraint; I can get along just fine without any bugfix here, since disabling the unused ports also prevents this bug from happening. Because of this, I think the issue might crop up with other setups that happen to have more than 4 controllers... but I am not super sure.
Thank you for your time.
