Real Simple. This is how you disable that long startup video (it got annoying because sometimes pressing the skip keys didn't work the first time so I'd end up mashing)

This is also how you can set the game to automatically startup on Fullscreen.

All of this is done from a single file. So start by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cortex Command\Base.rte

Then open the "Settings" configuration file with Notepad/++. You should probably save it before editing as "Settings-Old" or something.

To enable fullscreen, change the 0 to a 1 next to it near the top. Do NOT edit the screen size at the very beginning. You can do this later if the in-game choices don't seem to work...but increasing the values here will make sprites and menus MUCH smaller and harder to see.

To disable the intro video, find "Playintro" a few lines below fullscreen and turn that 1 into a 0. Tadaaa, now your game will load up faster!

However, turning off the intro video for some reason causes the game to load straight into a mission. You can set which mission if you usually only do a certain type, now you can go straight there! If not, just tap Esc when it loads to get to main menu. It should be defaulted to the Tutorial.

There are other things you can do with this file, but I want to keep this post concise. So there you go!
