I'm getting a new computer here soon, with an i7, 4th gen processor.

Now, i'm used to having CC run like absolute crap, with the game lagging after > 5 things start happening, and this is on my old core 2 computer.

How much better is it with a faster processor? Does the improvement not show very much due to some weird non-multithreaded issues or is the game much better?

It gets a bit better. Not much.

Even going from an old pentium dual core?

I went from a eight year old computer to my current one, and the difference in performance is barely noticeable.

Ah, that really kind of sucks.

Oh well, back to trying to get that delta-time and settings maxed out to perfect efficiency.

Mind saying what sort of specs you moved from?

Went from a terribad PC with 1GB of RAM, maybe a 256 MB GPU and a bad CPU to my current PC.

Currently have 1GB GPU, 8 GB RAM and a 3.20 GHz i7 Quadcore dual thread CPU.

Lags a little less. That's about it.

What was the old cpu?

Yeah. I went from a terrible laptop that can barely run Minecraft to this computer which can run BF4 on ultra at 60 frames. I still lag in CC after like 10 actors are spawned at once. It's annoying.

I've been through this game with 3 different computer builds, from an Athlon 64 now a high end I3. The performance of the game has actually gone down over time since b24.

This is a big problem.

I don't understand why there is not more emphases on increasing the games performance. I do not want more content, I just want a better running game.
