Post Final thoughts: An open letter
Ok, last time peeking in on these forums. Here's a love letter to the developers.

Hello. I got into CC at around B23 or so. I very much enjoyed the game for what it was (active modding community, fun gameplay). Things were looking up with promises of future improvements all around. And with such a hefty price tag, I was expecting big things. (Even got the "pay a little bit extra" edition to show my support.) Oh, what a horrible miscalculation.
Updates showed up at a slow pace and very little seemed to change. Some menu refinements, a bit more polished AI, reworked stock weapons... and then, finally, the very much unpolished campaign stuff.

And suddenly, POOF! 1.0 hits.

...what?

What a mess! Very poor performance (even on an i7 processor!), an utterly repulsive campaign (really, it barely even belongs in a beta) and... UGH! Just a slap in the face! I payed to help THIS happen? What happened?! Seemed like NOTHING had been done to get rid of or even improve on the messy behaviors of various things found in the beta builds. Seems like you guys just went "Ah, ♥♥♥♥ it" and shoved what little you had into a final release and then hoped for the best. Really, shame on you. Again, what happened? What the hell happened?

You guys messed up bad. Real bad. Stick to doing tech demos. No one should trust you with finishing anything you start.
As I'm writing, you charge $20 for this heap. FOR. SHAME.

Bottom line, you let us down. Big time.

Farewell.

Well, now you're saying it, this is quite true...Even if you've been a bit rude. I mean; I never really realized how B23 and B24 was cool, especially B23. I figured out I remembered it better simply due to hostalgia, but now I'd like to play again a bit the B23.

Yes, updates are ♥♥♥♥ slow, but hey! with weegee making awesome scene regularly, and UniTec + Wehrmacht mods installed, I don't really think if there's matter to write such a thing.

I'm quite surprised to discover B23 was better than 1.0, and I actually think you're somewhat right.

Currently there are no plans of a final build, seeing as there is always room for improvement.

A content balancing overhaul is in the pipeline and Data just hunted down and executed the seam gib bug.

Not to mention Abdul's constant stream of AI tweaks.

Seems good. But can we get better performance? This game is unplayable at times due to lag. And maybe bring back the map room?

I second this.

I third my own post  . Nah, but I really do like this game, it's just hard to enjoy due to lag. And why was the map room taken out? I've seen people play the game and use it and it looks very helpful.

It did? I thought it was the last version without glows.

Oh well, I must've played B17 then.

Though I seriously hope that we could get that sweet pixel trace glow back as a property.

As much as I loved Pixel glows, there's just no beating the physics and slow-mo from B13.

Plus, the rockets didn't gib or explode. They just got more and more awesome.
