Re: Modding Theme of the X Time Period *Unconventional Weapon
There was a sale that brought it to under two bucks, so I thought I'd buy a couple extra copies for gifts and trading tokens somewhere down the road. And there was like a minute left on the sale, so I was curious how many times I could get through the checkout in that timeframe. I backed out of the idea of reselling or using them for trades since that could lose me my steam account if they caught on. Turns out most anyone that I would want to give gifts to has KF already or wouldn't care to have it.
But more so than me having lots of them, I'm a bit pessimistic about the future interest in these contests and CC modding in general, considering the way things are now and how Data's plans for the future of CC seem to have a damper on them, now that it's considered complete, and there's PP to focus on.

Interesting. At least this theme is pretty good and I already got an idea, probably more people will participate.

I already have Killing Floor, myself, but I wanted to experiment with a little idea anyway that I think, in the context of Cortex Command, is reasonably unconventional. Somewhat. I'm sure someone can do better, but anyway; the AET Nanocarbine.

Re: Modding Theme of the X Time Period *Unconventional Weapon
I know it's against the rules to use a previous released mod, but can I re-use the sprite of my last entry? The carbine thingy, only the sprite. Or does it have to undergo some modification? Or I can't use it at all?

I'd say it'd have to undergo some modification.

Okay, anyway, it's just the sprite so it's nothing core of the mod anyway.

I hope this qualifies as a valid contest entry. http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=45762Zombombies. Exploding Zombies. Check the link for details. Is this unconventional enough for you?

Oh thanks! I still need to polish my mod but with the exams period and the worldcup final I'll be quite busy.

Last extension, though considering the current pace of things, I doubt we'll actually get another entry.

Re: Modding Theme of the X Time Period *Unconventional Weapon
Looks like there are four entries right now: Zombombies by SzGamer27AET Nanocarbine by ArcalaneMassifier by AsklarFloater by Bad BoyThe Floater was released today so it's technically one day late, but I think it deserves a chance. I think vote time can begin, eh? This is a nice selection of mods to vote from, they all look very good. I would've tried a mod if I hadn't joined right at the end, and if I had a bit more experience (experience in making own mods = 0, experience in looking at other's mods and seeing how they work = "a bit higher than 0"). I wonder what the next contest will be...

Re: Modding Theme of the X Time Period *Unconventional Weapon
Asklar and I came up with a theme for the next one whenever it happens, Blood and/or Gore. I'll leave the specifics up to individual interpretation, so people'll have a wide range of stuff to work with (actors, weapons, whatever else).
