Yeah that's silly. Either have only the brain or something else you'll only have one of call that script or add to each actor self.IgnoresTeamHits = false. Doing both is definitely resource intensive and isn't needed.
Better yet if you want to do it actually efficiently, use the create functions instead of updates since I doubt this property resets every frame.
