Whenever polls work again... CaveCricket, you can always participate but just disqualify your own submission from placing.

Eh, wouldn't be the same.
Just out of curiosity, who's planning on entering the contest?

I probably, but someone with fancy lua will win.
[p.s i think the their should be 2 categories, ini and Lua. Like best lua based mod and best bisc .ini mod.]

Re: Modding Theme of the X Time Period *Theme: Burrowing!
The theme is more conducive to functionality creativity than artistic creativity, so I'm out.
@Dragonxp That's stupid. If that is put into effect for your sake, there should be a "sprites only no coding section" for me. There are tonnes of great mods that don't need Lua, and besides it's not really about winning.
That said, the the theme heavily favours Luamancers; what kind of proper burrowing can you make without Lua?

Well, if there were a section like that, you'd probably win. edit: MLC could to probably. But, Lua just keeps being a show stealer. *sigh*

Contrary wrote: That said, the the theme heavily favours Luamancers; what kind of proper burrowing can you make without Lua? If amrobotics made his mole machine during the contest and entered, I think it would win. And it uses no Lua. The thing with ini is that if you're trying to accomplish something complicated, you have to be very creative to make the most of every type of object there is. I can think of a handful of non-Lua burrowing things that would do pretty well, you just have to use your imagination. Contrary wrote: The theme is more conducive to functionality creativity than artistic creativity, so I'm out. Remember, the ratings are just based on how much users like your mod. As long as they like it, and your mod has to do with burrowing, you'll do well. You could make a digger that has beautiful sprites and effects, and you could probably get good ratings.

Ugh, if I ever get my code straightened out I might have something to enter. I'll have to go panhandling for sprites afterwards though.

You just release it like normal but with a tag in your OP. CaveCricket48 wrote: In order for the mod maker to "submit" their mod, they MUST have the following text included somewhere in their topic: Modding Theme Entry: <Mod Theme Name>
