Post Best B27/1.0 base designs and tips.
This thread is for you Cortex command vets and newcomers, share your tips and designs on making bases.

My tip: If you have the money, make large rooms, they make great killing floors, and (depending in the size of the room) might take the enemy a while to clear, long enough fo you to bring in reinforcements.

From trying really hard (and eventually succeeding) at beating Maginot without buying anything, I've found the best way to position your guys is slightly lower than the enemies they will be fending off. If positioned correctly your guys can shoot at their legs without them being able to see the guards.

Also, don't put healbots inside your attacking units. Because then if your main guys get shot the healers take damage too. Put the healers a little bit behind your guys; you can even encase them in a nearby wall.

And of course, simply out-ranging attackers always works. Put your brain in a hole, slap a couple snipers on top, maybe with a little roof to protect against random gibs and you're done.

In bunker breach missions, immediately dig deep, buy a cheap soldier with a concrete sprayer and a gun, and wall in the hole as you dig it. The enemies can never get you, and you get a free gold mine!
